AS Program Board Presents: Art + Ice Cream with DJ Javier! Come join us this Tuesday, May 7th in the MCC lounge for an interactive art class hosted by local legend DJ Javier.
“DJ Javier is a Filipino American artist from Santa Barbara. He is one of the most recognized and requested artists in the community, as he has created countless murals, paintings, posters, apparel, fine art, and more through his multidisciplinary studio Bayan Surf Club. He has created art for local mom- and pop brands like Dune Coffee Shop, Vans, and most recently the Los Angeles Rams.”
This event will be an interactive painting workshop led by DJ, as he talks and shares some insight about his Asian American heritage. The event will also feature free ice cream from Creaminal, a local ice cream brand led by husband and wife duo Piti Sukavivatanachai and Kathy Dao. Creaminal is inspired by their Asian- American upbringing, and specializes in ice cream flavors that evoke nostalgia and happiness.
