Battle of the DJs
For the first time ever, Program Board is giving all the amazing DJ’s of UCSB a chance to mix it up for the entire student body! Compete against some of the best mixers in all of UCSB and Isla Vista in our first annual Battle of the DJ’s. Tired of playing for 20 people in a small apartment in Isla Vista when you know your talent is just calling for a larger audience? Or know a local DJ whose skills are ready to be showcased to the world? Well UCSB is giving you the chance to shine! Do you have what it takes to beat out the best of the best DJs at UCSB and have your talent displayed for all at Extravaganza? Battle of the DJs is ready to see what you got!
FREE EVENT
Local Student DJ’s will face off in an 8-competitor bracket single elimination competition. Each face off will be decided by a checklist system based on the judging criteria. The DJ with the highest score determined by a panel of judges will move on to the next round. The 8 DJs in the competition will be decided by Program Board based on video submissions they submit.
• The first round event take place on Tuesday, February 18th , and will feature 15 minute sets by each competitor.
• The semi finals and finals and will take place on Wednesday, February 19th and will feature 15 minute sets by each competitor.
